The mixed programme opens with Proof, a piece to the music of Radiohead that explores, hypnotically and introspectively, the ideas of fragility and resilience in human life. Then come three choreographies shaped on the music of the Slovenian composer Milko Lazar, in which Clug probes again and again the inner and outer bonds of our lives. A quartet of bodies, Mutual Comfort is a refined, intimate study of the weave of human relationships. Here the leading role is taken in turn by each performer, masking the contradictions of human behaviour between unexpected and ironic moments. A fluid, playful journey through intricate relationships and fleeting encounters, Handman mirrors in its choreographic weft, rich in spatial geometries, both the resonances of the creative process and the complicity of the dancers. Finally Cluster, the piece that gives the whole evening its title, where through an extremely precise physical score movement is explored as a collective force.

Ballet of the Slovene National Theatre MariborAn evocative work to the music of Radiohead, Proof explores the themes of human fragility and resilience. Clug’s distinctive movement vocabulary translates raw emotion into an extraordinarily complex choreography, inviting the audience into a hypnotic world of rhythm and introspection.
A refined, intimate study of human connection, Mutual Comfort examines the nuances of physical and emotional interaction. With minimalist elegance, Clug sculpts movement into a deeply expressive and personal dance language. The movements often have a kind of almost rhythmic nervousness, with bodies darting and starting in an intensity perfectly synchronised with the beat. Clug deftly illuminates the contradictions inherent in the human spirit, revealing moments of unexpected beauty and spontaneous irony along the way.
Handman takes you on a fluid journey, where brief encounters take place between man and woman, women and women, woman and man, men and men, and the man and Handman. The title refers to a particular moment in the piece that might go unnoticed. As we pass by, the choreographic sequences unfold before us, culminating in dance situations strongly inspired by Milko Lazar’s music and by the genuine experience we shared with the dancers while making this piece.

ClusterThe piece that gives the show its title, Cluster, is an exploration of movement as a collective force, an intricate web of interconnection and contrast. With its evocative musical landscape and the hypnotic flow of the choreography, Cluster reflects on the tension between individuality and shared human experience.
