Information

An extraordinary evening with one of the greatest baritones of today and of all time: Ludovic Tézier performs the most gripping operatic scenes from the music theatre of Verdi, Puccini, Ponchielli, Giordano, Leoncavallo and Bizet, a plunge into nineteenth-century opera reaching towards verismo and the twentieth century. Applauded for his vocal gifts and for the perfect sculpting of the words on stage, Tézier appears regularly on the most important stages in the world, from New York to Paris, from London to Munich. But he is also a curious explorer of less familiar titles, such as the two operas on the drama of Hamlet by Ambroise Thomas and Franco Faccio. He is joined for this special evening by Daniel Oren, a reference point for Italian opera. Not vocal virtuosity alone, then, but true theatrical scenes performed at the highest level available today.
