Your 5 x 1000 for the Teatro Comunale of tomorrow

Since 1763 Teatro Comunale has been the home of music in Bologna. Today it is at the centre of major restoration works to improve the energy efficiency of the building, renew the façade on Via del Guasto and offer new spaces and services to the public, to the city and to students.

By giving your 5×1000 to the Foundation you will write a new page in the future of Bologna and its Theatre, helping to:

  • enhance the architectural heritage
  • improve energy sustainability
  • regenerate Via del Guasto and the university quarter
Your 5 x 1000 for the Teatro Comunale of tomorrow

How to do it

Look for the section “Scelta per la destinazione del 5×1000” on your tax return form (CU, 730 or UNICO) and fill in the box marked “FINANZIAMENTO DELLE ATTIVITÀ DI TUTELA, PROMOZIONE E VALORIZZAZIONE DEI BENI CULTURALI E PAESAGGISTICI (SOGGETTI DI CUI ALL’ART. 2, C. 2, DEL D.P.C.M. 28 LUGLIO 2016)” — funding for the protection, promotion and enhancement of cultural and landscape heritage.

What are the deadlines for filing the Modello Redditi?

You can download the Modello Redditi directly from the Italian Revenue Agency website.
Hand in the completed and signed form at a post office. Alternatively you can go to your local tax assistance centre (CAF) or to your accountant, who will file it electronically.

Deadlines:

  • by 30/06/2026 for paper filing at a post office;
  • by 02/11/2026 for electronic filing.

What are the deadlines for filing the Modello 730?

Download the 730 form directly from the Italian Revenue Agency website or ask at the offices of your local council.
Hand in the completed and signed 730 form to your local tax assistance centre (CAF) or to your accountant. You can also give it to your employer, if they are on the list of those authorised to file the form.

Deadline:

  • by 30/09/2026 when filed through an accountant, a CAF or an employer.

Is the 5x1000 a donation?

No, it is not a donation: it is the allocation of a part of your income tax (IRPEF), so it costs the taxpayer nothing extra. In short, it lets you choose where part of the tax you already pay should go.

The 5x1000 costs me nothing. Is that true?

Yes, there is no extra cost. It is a choice about where part of the tax you already pay should go; otherwise the State decides for you.

Who can give the 5x1000?

The 5×1000 can be given by any individual resident in Italy who has earned taxable income in the tax year.

What happens if I do not sign the 5x1000 box?

If you leave the box empty, the State decides where the contribution goes. If you sign the box but do not give the tax code of the recipient, the funds are shared among all the bodies eligible for the 5×1000 in that sector, in proportion to the number of preferences each one received.

I already give the 8x1000: can I give the 5x1000 as well?

They are two separate choices, not alternatives. You can go on allocating your 8×1000 exactly as before, independently of the 5×1000.
